The two peas woke up still feeling exhausted, but hoisted themselves out of bed anyway with sheer determination and got all ready for school. The wife drove the hubby to the train and then headed to school thinking she had everything she needed: healthy snacks, class book, paper for notes, pens, wallet, and key fob. And then she got home and realized the garage door, along with every other door, was locked (as usual). She had a fob for the car, but no house keys! What was she thinking this morning (was she even thinking...probably not because she was half asleep)! The hubby wouldn't get home until.... FOUR HOURS LATER?! But she needs the food, the lou, the comfort of a bed on which to sleep 'cause she was still so tired.
The wife drove to the local Wal-mart for a bathroom and a few little things she remembered she needed. (Yes, a tasty chocolate and minty snack was purchased, but just one bag. Promise. And it was okay because most of the tasty treats were for other people anyway.) Then she drove back home and hung out in the car which she parked in the driveway (until people began taking pictures of the license plate probably because they were suspicious of her activities...in her own driveway...in front of her house...thanks for being vigilant, though).
When the hubby came home, he rescued his wife from the confines of the garage and the car, for which service the wife was extremely grateful.
Note to self: lesson learned; remember ALL of your keys.
Ooh, sorry about that although sitting in your car in Texas in February is probably a little more comfortable than in most other areas of the country.
