Remember that big test for Wednesday? Although the wife did pretty well, and studied her mind raw for it, she did not achieve the score she was hoping, which might hamper some near future plans. On top of that, she received her first citation ever. Yep! And she got it while she was on her way to take that test. Forlorn, tired, and depressed, the wife came home and turned into a blubbering heap. Then the hubby came home and scooped that blubbering heap up. Blubbering heap and hubby went and put together a delicious dinner, watched a movie, and talked and laughed. Slowly, the wife became herself again with a new and energetic plan. Tired and smiling, the two peas went to sleep and remembered nothing but a wonderful day.
It might be said that life gave the wife one big heaping spoonful of bitter cocoa yesterday. When the hubby came home, he helped her make several servings of delicious hot chocolate, and now that's all she can remember.
